Dear costumers and friends: Before our holidays, we want to announce that La Caja de Música is opening during the day time offering traditional Spanish Brunch and delicious coffee. Our typical Spanish brunch includes an aromatic coffee (four different beans blend), a toast of bread spread with fresh tomato and extra virgin olive oil and orange juice freshly squeezed. This set menu is characteristic from the South of Spain. You also have the choice of a Northern style breakfast with a portion of Spanish omelet with coffee and orange juice as well. In addition to these sets, there are another options to complete your brunch, like salads, yoghurt with Muesli, scrambled eggs, etc. Openings hours: Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00 to 16:30 Kitchen is serving food until 14:00. This comming Saturday  29th we have folk/rock in the Stage, see you all in La Caja at 20.30!!! The Red Cliff is an acoustic Anglo-American trio currently based in Taipei, Taiwan. Singers/songwriters/ guitarists Mark Darvill and Caleb Cole met in the cruel harsh winter of 2009 and have been performing in and around Taipei on and off since early 2010. After a long time spent feeling that their sound was missing something, the duo recently recruited the drumming services of Moshe Foster. The result is an at times melodic, at times frenetic blend of folk and rock. Audiences have been known to leave shows feeling satisfied, contemplative or just downright good. One thing’s for sure, you will leave knowing you’ve just watched a band… or sometimes maybe not, because sometimes there’s only two of them. Dear all we want to start our own Taiwan New Talents showcase in  our stage this Saturday October 25th. The Honest Selfies The Honest Selfies has existed since last Wednesday, when we made up the name, but 7-string guitarist Anders and vocalist Peresang have been playing in clubs, bars and restaurants together since the autumn of 2012. Recently added guitarist/vocalist/ percussionist Yumi joined the action about 6 months ago.   Peresang and Yumi are both from the musically talented Rukai tribe of south- eastern Taiwan. They have been playing music and sung since before they could walk.  This coming Friday 23th , The Unlikely Suspects will fill "La Caja"of  grooves, come to dance with their music!!!!! The Unlikely Suspects   Daniel Bowley (guitar and vocals) and Chase de Coster (drums) started playing music together at the start of 2013 and quickly realized their similarities in musical style and grew an understanding of each other’s playing. Since then, they have performed regularly alongside some of Taipei’s top musicians.  The Unlikely Suspects play a mix of indie rock, funk, blues, reggae, jazz and afro-pop. “We want to play music that people can feel, that is real and they can move to”, says Daniel. “The greatest compliment when you are playing is being able to keep the audience’ attention because of the experience you are bringing to them. This Saturday is mother's day and even will have a intimate concert at La Caja, for first time in our stage , David Karpay, will give you the perfect night end for a so special day, bring your mom, or boyfriend, girlfriend, or the one you want , but the most important, dont miss it! a brief introduction about David K.: Currently studying Chinese in Taiwan, David Karpay (裴山) spent the majority of his childhood and young adult life in the US playing music with his twin brother, Robert Karpay. David has been playing acoustic guitar for nearly ten years, but only recently started writing his own music and performing solo. His musical influences include Simon & Garfunkel, Iron & Wine, and other "A & B" groups. His life influences include successful breakups, the feelings of motion and acceleration, and, most recently, Chinese numbers. PaintingNebraska is the solo acoustic project of Ferran Perez , a boy from Barcelona who has recently arrived to Taipei. He is influenced by bands such as Into. It Over It., Owen and The Weakerthans .
